Analyst – Field Alignment

Roles & Responsibilities

Analytics Delivery & AI Enablement

  • Independently support and execute field force alignment processes (territory design, targeting, call plan support) within agreed timelines under guidance of a team lead
  • Assist in delivering alignment-related analytics such as territory structuring, workload balancing, and target list optimisation
  • Contribute to translating business alignment requirements into analytical workflows and actionable outputs
  • Follow established alignment frameworks, business rules, quality standards, and documentation practices
  • Support AI-enabled alignment solutions (e.g., workload optimisation, territory balancing tools)

Stakeholder Partnership & Strategic Support

  • Partner closely with US Commercial stakeholders, Sales leadership, Brand team, CASA, and BIT to understand business needs and contribute to solution design.
  • Act as a trusted analytical partner by clearly explaining insights, assumptions, and limitations, and supporting decision-making discussions.
  • Support prioritization of business requests by providing effort estimates, impact assessments, and analytical recommendations.
  • Contribute to stakeholder presentations, readouts, and working sessions with clear, structured storytelling.

Field Alignment Analytics

  • Support end-to-end alignment cycles, including territory setup, target list updates, and realignment support
  • Work with datasets such as IQVIA sales, Rx, call activity, and CRM data to enable alignment decisions
  • Identify opportunities for improving territory balance, workload distribution, and field effectiveness
  • Assist in building and running alignment simulations and scenario analyses
  • Apply basic statistical and analytical techniques to support alignment decisions and insights

Team Collaboration & Capability Building

  • Build and maintain basic analytical datasets, trackers, and reusable analysis templates
  • Contribute to development of standardised alignment processes and playbooks
  • Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams (Commercial, Analytics, IT, Operations) to ensure consistent and scalable delivery

Technical Execution & Data Stewardship

  • Build and maintain analytical assets including datasets, models, and automation workflows.
  • Work closely with BIT and data engineering teams to troubleshoot data issues and ensure reliable, timely data availability.
  • Contribute to enhancing tools like territory workload optimisers and alignment automation solutions

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain alignment outputs in simple business terms
  • Solid execution and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple alignment workstreams
  • Strong analytical thinking with focus on data quality, accuracy, and business relevance
  • Basic understanding of field force alignment concepts (territory design, targeting, call planning)
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a matrixed stakeholder environment
  • Curiosity and learning agility, especially in AI-driven alignment solutions

Experience & Qualifications

  • BS/B. Tech required; advanced degree preferred with special consideration for degrees in life/physical sciences, applied sciences (computer science, mathematics, data science), or engineering.
  • 1+ years in pharmaceutical Field Force Effectiveness, GTM analytics, execution vs. performance analysis, or territory alignment—preferably within biopharma or pharmaceuticals.
  • Strong experience working with IQVIA sales, Rx, call activity, and CRM datasets.
  • Exposure to alignment processes (targeting, sizing, structuring, deployment) is preferred
  • Exposure to embedding AI analytics platforms into Field CRM workflows with enterprise-wide adoption.
  • Good knowledge of programming and data science tools (Python, R), machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch), large-scale analytics environments, visualization platforms, and workflow automation.
  • Proven track record of delivering data‑driven insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Technical Skills (Preferred)

  • Hands-on experience with  Python and/or R for data analysis, statistical modelling, and ML pipeline development.
  • Proficiency in  machine learning frameworks — scikit-learn, PyTorch — and large-scale model deployment.
  • Experience with  SQL and reporting tools (Power BI, or similar).
  • Exposure to  collaborative analytics environments (Databricks, Git, SharePoint, Domino, Snowflake).
  • Understanding of  LLM frameworks, prompt engineering, and RAG pipeline design for enterprise applications.
