About the Role

This role is responsible for supporting Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense (T&E) transaction processing, including performing accounting activities in SAP and ensuring timely payments for HARMAN entities globally. The position will collaborate closely with Finance leaders and business stakeholders to deliver accurate accounting and period-end closing services aligned with current and future business needs. Additionally, the role will assist the Finance Manager in overseeing day-to-day people and process operations for Accounts Payable and Corporate Travel accounting functions.

What You Will Do

  • Process vendor invoices with accurate coding, approvals, and compliance.

  • Perform 2-way/3-way matching and resolve discrepancies with procurement and business teams.

  • Maintain AP aging, follow up on pending items, and support timely payments (ACH/NEFT/RTGS/Wire).

  • Reconcile vendor accounts, handle disputes, and manage credit and debit notes.

  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations.

  • Ensure correct tax treatment (GST, TDS, VAT, WHT) and compliance.

  • Review and audit employee expense claims and manage the T&E system.

  • Perform Travel & Expense accounting and prepare relevant reports.

  • Identify and address non-compliant transactions.

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and SOX/ICFR requirements.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 6–9 years of experience in core accounting and shared services.

  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP), Travel & Expense (T&E), general accounting, compliance, and reporting.

  • Experience in SAP journal entry processing.

  • Solid understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and accounting principles.

  • Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and effective problem-solving abilities.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • Master’s degree or higher accounting qualification, which would be a distinct advantage

  • Prior experience in a Shared Services or BPO environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in the MS Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
