Analyst Technology Approvals

• Join Hospitality and Racing, a division within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport  

• Clerk Grade 78 with a salary range of $116,981- $129492per annum plus superannuation

• Temporary until Feb 2027 role based in Sydney, NSW

About the role

As an Analyst, Technology Approvals, you'll assess gaming technologies and other regulated products to ensure they meet legislative and technical requirements.

You'll analyse complex systems, identify risks, and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations that support informed regulatory decisions in the public interest.

Working at the intersection of technology, compliance and innovation, you'll collaborate with a range of stakeholders, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and help shape the future of regulation in an evolving technology landscape.

About you

You're a critical thinker with strong analytical skills and a talent for turning complex technical information into clear, practical advice.

You will bring:

• Experience analysing technology, systems, data or complex information.

• Strong report writing and communication skills.

• The ability to identify risks and provide sound, evidence-based recommendations.

• Confidence engaging with diverse stakeholders and managing competing priorities.

• A proactive mindset, high integrity and a genuine interest in emerging technologies.

Technical Skill Set required

Hands on experience assessing, developing or otherwise working in the following areas are highly desired

• gaming-related technologies; and/or

• cybersecurity requirements/best practices; and/or

• other emerging technologies in the gambling sector

Relevant tertiary qualifications will also be considered favourably.
