About the role

We are delighted to announce an opportunity for a talented Analyst – Tax based in Accra, Ghana, reporting to the Tax Manager. This role plays a key part in managing tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities across the regional business, ensuring adherence to local tax laws and Orica standards.

You will support the delivery of accurate and timely tax returns, statutory reporting, and tax effect accounting, while contributing to the implementation of regional tax strategies. The role also partners closely with internal stakeholders and external authorities to manage tax risks, audits, and cross-border tax matters in a compliant and efficient way.

What you will be doing

  • Manage end-to-end tax compliance across the region, ensuring adherence to local tax laws and Orica standards;
  • Prepare and lodge tax returns, statutory reports, and ensure timely tax payments;
  • Support implementation of regional tax strategy in collaboration with the global tax team;
  • Identify tax risks and assist in managing audits, disputes, and relationships with revenue authorities;
  • Provide tax advice on business activities, including transfer pricing and cross-border transactions.

What you will bring

  • Degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or related field with solid understanding of tax legislation;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in tax, finance, or accounting, ideally within a multinational or Big 4 environment;
  • Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting;
  • Analytical mindset with ability to identify risks and provide practical solutions;
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach.
