The Analyst for Reliability and Cost Analysis Team is responsible for creating software-based tools, metrics, reports and presentations by using aircraft reliability data, business intelligence systems and aircraft maintenance cost.

In this role you will contribute to leveraging data to create value for the internal and external stakeholders. This will be accomplished through the development, delivery and support of new and existing tools and applications.

Your tasks will include

  • Build a theoretical models to characterize the reliability performance of the CRJ100/200/700/900/1000;
  • Build a tool (or set of tools) on MHIRJ's Business Intelligence platform (MicroStrategy, Power BI or Python based tool) that allows for quick and efficient monitoring of the reliability performance of the CRJ100/200/700/900/1000 products.
  • Provide expertise and practical assistance in the ad hoc investigation, evaluation and interpretation of data and trends
  • Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies
  • Identify inconsistencies in data or results
  • Update annual CRJ expendables DMC analysis by using operator data - with trend analysis comparing previous DMC calculations
  • Update heavy-check non-routine findings and aging analysis for CRJ by using service center data

You will develop the following skills:

  • Familiarity with various data analysis tools such as SQL, MicroStrategy, Power BI
  • Working in an analytics team
  • Aircraft Reliability and Cost Analysis

The skills you bring:

  • Are enrolled in a Statistics, Business, Engineering or relevant degree.
  • Effective project management skills
  • Know MS Office suite (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Nice to have: Python, MicroStrategy, Power BI, knowledge of databases and SQL language (SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Are an excellent communicator and self-starter. Strong team player. Detail oriented.

  • Position located at Mississauga, Ontario – flexible working schedule with expectation to be physically working at the office when required
