Job Description

Location: Parramatta – Flexible and hybrid arrangements available

Employment Type: Ongoing, Full Time

Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6 ($102,936 - $113,579) - plus employer’s contribution to super and annual leave loading.

Your role

Supporting the Operational Capability and Performance Command, you will provide technical, project and analytical support across a range of critical operational systems. The role also delivers training to frontline staff and maintains associated learning materials.

Working collaboratively with senior leaders and stakeholders, you will contribute to the development and delivery of projects that drive business process improvement, strategic planning, performance reporting, and the implementation of organisational policies and procedures.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver training to frontline staff on the NSW Sheriff’s Office information management systems and develop and maintain associated learning materials.
  • Investigate and resolve data errors within case management systems and address and resolve user support queries.
  • Undertake research and analysis of system data and information to develop statewide statistical reports and provide insights and recommendations that inform strategic planning and high-level decision-making.
  • Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for developers and technical teams, while effectively communicating technical concepts and system functionality to Sheriff’s Office staff in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively engaging with individuals across diverse professional backgrounds and organisational levels.

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of software backend systems, including the ability to gather, analyse and document business requirements for software solutions.
  • Experience engaging with developers and technical teams, with the ability to translate between technical and operational requirements and facilitate effective communication between stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in reporting administration across multiple operating systems, with the ability to interpret data and produce concise, meaningful statistical reports.
  • Ability to develop and maintain knowledge and technical capability.
