The Analyst, Supply Chain Replenishmnet – Demand is responsible for managing and improving regional demand forecasts across Loblaw Companies Limited (LCL) to support optimal forecast accuracy and inventory availability. This role plays a key part in identifying, analyzing, and resolving forecasting issues while collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendors to enhance forecasting performance at the store, regional, and banner levels. The SCRA – Demand helps ensure effective replenishment planning and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the demand forecasting process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and maintain demand forecasts using BY Luminate Demand Edge (LDE) and IPFR to ensure forecast accuracy.
  • Monitor forecasting exceptions and trends, making adjustments as required to improve forecast performance.
  • Review weekly reports to identify forecasting issues and minimize impacts on regional forecasts, store operations, and replenishment activities.
  • Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to discuss forecasting challenges, business changes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system, business, and process-related inquiries related to demand forecasting.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on forecast performance, business trends, and inventory requirements.
  • Support replenishment planning activities to ensure product availability and efficient distribution
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting processes, reporting, and system utilization.
  • Complete ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing business requirements.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, along with experience using BY Luminate Demand Edge and demand planning systems.
  • Solid understanding of replenishment systems, inventory management principles, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Collaborative team player with a passion for continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and process improvement.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Analytics, or related discipline.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is considered an asset.
