Jr Buyer, Indirect Procurement Bilingual (French & English) (permanent position)

Function and Discipline

Pratt & Whitney Canada Supply Chain, Indirect Procurement (also referred to as “non-product”)

Function Description (short term)

Test and improve existing purchasing process mappings and work instructions; support training material creation for the new indirect procurement buying team

Function Description (long term)

Purchase indirect procurement services for given commodities from Bangalore, India

Organization Level Duties and Responsibilities (short term)

Test existing tasks and training documentation; propose adjustements to increase exactitude and clarity

Participate in team reviews

Organization Level Duties and Responsibilities (long term)

Convert end users requests for services into purchase orders in a timely manner

Resolve issues preventing payments to vendors

Support Help Desk activities; respond to vendors, end users and Commodity Specialists / Managers

Provide assistance to end users on new vendors addition to our supply base

Complete Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and compliance activities

Share best practices; propose adjustments to tools, processes and communication methods

Adapt work priorities to circumstances; maintain a high customer service standard

Requirements and Qualifications

Excellent English & French verbal and written communication skills

0 to 4 years of experience in a similar role

Bachelor’s degree minimum

Customer-oriented attitude

Excellent english verbal and written communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment

Proficient with SAP and MS Office

Understanding of procurement activities

Understanding of indirect procurement considered as an asset

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
