About The Role

The Insight and Analytics (I&A) department at the Telegraph consists of Data Scientists, Researchers, Digital Analysts and Insight analysts. We are recruiting a new Analyst to join the Subscriptions Insight & Analytics team.

You will support the Subscription team by producing timely and accurate reporting, and conduct deep dive analysis focusing on subscriber related metrics such as retention, engagement and acquisitions. This will help the business understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement to continue our subscription business growth.

This role will provide a wide and varied grounding in data analytics and reporting and is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Is able to communicate complex analysis & insights in a concise way for the benefit of stakeholders
  • Supports other team members for the benefit of the team overall, illustrating flexibility when needed
  • Manages expectations appropriately with stakeholders/ manager/ colleagues
  • Is able to identify & implement new ways of working to improve TMG processes
  • Can solve complex challenges faced, using a range of skills and approaches
  • Champion a metric oriented culture in the Telegraph.
  • Has a good technical understanding of complex analytics skills (e.g. SQL, modelling).

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience within a data insight/ analytics function
  • Experience using a programming language such as SQL
  • Demonstrable use of Microsoft Office/Google Docs.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the modern digital publishing landscape and the various levers that affect digital performance.
  • Proactive, curious, self-confident, highly motivated team player.
