The store planning designer plays a critical role in executing Orgill’s core retail development services, encompassing new store designs, expansions, and remodels. This role is a dual-focus position centered on daily store planning operations and comprehensive project layouts and use of the CAD program. By effectively aligning Matterport scans with CAD drawings and assortment layouts. This position directly impacts the efficiency & accurately reflects the customer & new shopping experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily Store Planning and Design Support
Prepare demographic reports, print and bind final store planning presentation documents, and distribute planogram details for upcoming project implementations.
Learn and utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create cohesive, logical department layouts and floor plans.
Learn and utilize the Matterport Camera and apply the data collected to optimize floor layouts data.
Act as the primary administrative and operational support bridge for the Sales team, Customer & Retail Services, as it relates to new store & hardline expansion and remodel refresh.
Project On Site Management & Communication
Travel to a project location and document the customer current condition using a Matterport camera. Other data and details are also collected while onsite.
Prepare & Review the Matterport data and create a basic CAD floor plan. Analyze the space audit report and assigns footages to the existing floor plan.
Shop for customer service benchmarks to use for evaluation of the current operation.
Focusing on efficiency, professionalism, and high-quality customer interaction.
Document all benchmark dates, key communications, official files, and phone calls within the Salesforce RS Project shared platform.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of 5 years of Retail Hardware and/or merchandising experience is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, Salesforce & CAD.
Must be willing to travel up to or more than 70% in addition to the Orgill Dealer Market
