This job is a member of the Inflight Dining Operations Team within the Airport Operations Division. Responsible for providing accurate, timely, and comprehensive evaluation of catering system audits, processes, and functions as they relate to safety, compliance, and operating efficiency of the Inflight Dining operation.
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert on meal policy, scheduling and billing processes, audit standards, and inflight catering procedures
• Apply a basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles to identify and support process improvement opportunities across Mainline and Regional dining operations
• Collaborate with all levels of airport and dining personnel to explain models, provide guidance, evaluate changes, and drive buy‑in for processes and staffing practices
• Assess and communicate how changes in policy, procedure, or technology impact capacity models
• Develop and recommend strategies to optimize process efficiency and operational performance
• Audit catering items for accuracy against scheduled provisioning in the CAE Inflight Catering system
• Investigate catering issues and operational problems to determine root causes
• Assist in developing and implementing solutions that enhance reliability and increase efficiency
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training
• 3+ years experience in airline/hotel food and beverage, restaurants, catering, purchasing, or Inflight
• Prior project management work experience
• Must be able to travel up to 60%
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Experience in airline catering operations, aircraft galleys, or flight service
• Ability to pull and manipulate large sets of data using SQL or Python
• Experience working with union or frontline level employees
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Advanced Excel modelling skills
• ServSafe and HAACP certification preferred
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for creative problem solving
• Ability to make independent judgements and decisions while taking ownership of job responsibilities
• Highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrated through experience developing and growing internal, external and cross-functional relationships
• Ability to manage workloads with changing priorities, limited direction and ease
• Ability to concisely present work to internal and external parties
• Ability to organize, lead, and plan projects
