About the role

We are looking for a Analyst - Sales, this role is responsible in supporting Pilbara sales planning and spot sales execution through effective data management and deep commercial analysis. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pilbara Sales, this role will also be accountable for the sales operations and contract execution of steel mill accounts ensuring contractual performance and enhance customer experience.

Demanding well-developed interpersonal and collaboration skills, this role is a great opportunity for a driven and collaborative professional who is enthused by working with different stakeholders and multiple senior team members.

Spot Sales Commercial Execution

  • Support Spot desk on execution of bilateral sales/tenders and contribute ideas to increase value realisation.
  • Consolidate bids and offer to support Specialist, Sales to evaluate tender outcomes.
  • Managing Spot sales register database.
  • Coordinate process improvement projects such as fixed price deal and e-tender system.
  • Work with digital teams on improvement on existing spot trade system.

Pilbara Demand database management

  • Maintain databases that capture and analyse key sales and customer data.
  • Assist in system development for demand planning & mapping and simplify portfolio working files.
  • Track allocation execution and iron ore sales channels.

Sales Operations & execution

  • Coordinate with scheduling, operations, technical marketing, and commercial teams to ensure smooth execution of contracted shipments.
  • Monitor shipment plans, vessel schedules and potential operational risks, while working with scheduling to align cargo allocation, delivery timing, and customer priorities.
  • Nomination to customer on monthly and quarterly shipment plan, vessel vetting on Rightship approval for vessel nomination.
  • Providing timely updates on shipment status, operational changes, and any issues to respective customers.
  • Administration of any contract matters with instructions from Principal Adviser, Sales & Negotiation.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • A recognized University degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience in commodities sales operations.
  • Commercial experience in commodities sector is preferred.
  • Confident in challenging the status quo and highly driven on constant business improvement.
  • Positive attitude, independent and strong interpersonal skills
