Analyst Rotation Program (ARP)

The Analyst Rotation Program (ARP) is your entry point into the CarMax Analyst Community. The program provides exposure toa variety ofroles, allowing you to developorganization-wide context while buildingskills in analytics, strategy, communication, and influence. As a Business Analyst in the ARP,you’lltackle unique and complex problems– makingsignificant contributions to companysuccessfrom day one.

The Program:

  • The Analyst Rotation Program (ARP) is a 2-year journey with three 8-month rotations across various teams within the CarMax analyst community.

  • Analysts start together as a cohort, sharing experiences and building strong connections throughout the program.

  • The program focuses on professional development and career growth, offering diverse experiences, leadership interactions, formal training, and team-building activities.

  • Analysts have a say in their roles during the program and upon graduation, often continuing careers post-ARP in areas they have previously worked.

The Role:

  • Analyze- Use your analytic skills to work with CarMax’sindustry-leadingdatawhilesolving unique business challenges.Createinsights that drive our success and industry innovation

  • Collaborate & Influence –Partner with leaders across the organization to deploy insights and shape strategiesUse presentation and communication skills toshare analytic findings and effect positive change

  • Learn & Grow -Tackle diverse business problemsduring eachrotation, deepening your understanding of our operations and expanding your network. Benefit from training& experiencesthat enhance both technical (e.g., coding, analytic methods) and soft skills (e.g., communication, storytelling)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degreerequired, in an analytical/quantitative major preferred

  • 0-2 years of experience in an analytical role

  • Proficiencywith computers and database systems and/or software packages preferred (ex. SQL, Snowflake, Python, Tableau,PowerBI, Microsoft Suite)

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Work Authorization:

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship will notbe considered for this specific role.


Work Location:

Associates will have the opportunity to work from our Corporate Headquarters & Technology Innovation Center, bothlocatedin Richmond, VA.
