Key Deliverables
The Analyst - Reconciliation will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:
Strategy Implementation
Abide by and execute the functional strategy cascaded by the functional lead
Governance
Strategic Meetings
Participate in strategic meetings, when required
Execute OpCo wide transformation initiatives, when required by the functional lead
Implement adequate risk mitigation and controls, with directions from the functional lead
Assist in the evaluation baseline of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs, when required
Escalations
Escalate issues that will result in severe time, scope, productivity, and cost or resource impact to functional lead
Function Tactical
Execute projects initiated in the specific sub-function
Abide by the established objectives, targets and budgets for the sub-function, when required
Prepare documentation required for sign-off on tactical changes
Performance
Ensure execution in alignment with divisional strategy
Reporting
Report on a daily basis to the functional lead relating to progress made within the work area and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation
Report on an ad hoc basis on specific projects, as required
Budgets
Abide by function’s budgets in line with business objectives

Operational Delivery
Reconciliations & Settlements
Perform daily reconciliation of all designated Fintech ESCROW and partner bank accounts.
Reconcile transactions between Fintech systems (e.g., MoMo platform) and internal general ledger accounts.
Monitor balances and diligently investigate all identified variances or discrepancies.
Prepare and analyze reconciliation reports, highlighting outstanding items and aged exceptions.
Support the timely and accurate liquidation and settlement processes for Fintech Partners as per agreed SLAs.
Assist in the preparation of journals for reconciling items, under guidance from the Manager.
Contribute to the documentation of reconciliation processes and controls.
Support & Controls
Provide data and support for internal and external audit requests related to reconciliations and settlements.
Assist in performing primary financial controls and ad-hoc audits to ensure control effectiveness.
Support the resolution of 2nd level queries related to settlement and reconciliation issues from internal teams, partners, or banks.
Collaborate with finance, technology, and partner management teams to resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with all established operational, risk, and compliance policies during daily tasks.
Reporting
Generate and share daily and weekly reconciliation reports for internal stakeholders.
Report immediately to the Manager Operations on any significant discrepancies or control breaches.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all reconciliation activities.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in a reconciliation, financial operations, or accounting role.
Experience in Fintech, banking, mobile money, or a payment processing environment is a strong advantage.
Practical experience with reconciliation tools and ERP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) for data analysis.
Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with a good understanding emerging markets is preferred
