Project Manager Analyst

Project Manager Analyst is responsible for supporting the Project Manager in project execution throughout the project lifecycle from firm bid to contract close-out. The Analyst supports the overall project while developing and applying critical project management skills associated with project planning, engineering, procurement, communication, scheduling management, budgeting/cost management, deliverable management, scope negotiation, progress reporting and successful team interactions required to meet project and business requirements. The Analyst works under the direct supervision of the Director of Projects and Project Manager (PM) to ensure all project deliverables are completed on-time and within budget, with a specific focus on managing the interactions and fulfillment of the OEM scope, including but not limited to the Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator and Auxiliaries. Project scope ranges from equipment supply contracts limited to gas or steam turbine only to complete EPC contract with consortium agreements that include the supply of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Support Project Managers in the safe, efficient execution of projects, including preparation for and participation in key project milestones (e.g., Sales turnover, project kickoffs, and baseline development for scope, schedule, cost, and resources).
  • Assist with project communication management, supporting development and implementation of communication plans and coordinating internal and external meeting updates and action tracking.
  • Monitor project performance by tracking financial and deliverable progress against baselines and preparing internal and customer-facing reports and presentations.
  • Manage OEM scope execution, including progress tracking, issue resolution, change orders, formal communications, and factory back‑charges.
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain and OEM teams to manage purchase orders, invoicing, logistics, shipping plans, and documentation.
  • Support project risk management, including maintaining the Risk Register and assisting with risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning.
  • Maintain project documentation and tools, ensuring accurate records, role clarity, and alignment across project teams.
  • Support schedule development and tracking, contributing to integrated master schedule updates and identifying risks and opportunities using Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis.
  • Assist with change management activities, including scope changes, approvals, and financial impact improvements.
  • Assess project performance using earned value management (EVM) and provide insights to project leadership.
  • Lead and participate in recurring meetings, including internal, customer, and stakeholder calls, and issue detailed meeting notes with actions and follow-ups.
  • Manage project tracking tools and documentation, including RAS logs, AWCL feedback, change orders, and invoicing reconciliation activities.
  • Support supplier recovery efforts and vendor issue resolution in coordination with Supply Chain.
  • Foster cross‑functional collaboration and contribute to process improvement and lessons learned initiatives within the organization.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development in project management, leadership, and business operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited four‑year institution.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical and business materials, including journals, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and present information to managers, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and interpret complex technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Working knowledge of mathematical and engineering principles, including probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, and application of ratios and percentages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with SAP, project scheduling tools, and engineering/technical software such as databases, CAD, and diagramming tools.
  • Ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
