Responsible for system administration, hardware support, software support, maintenance, security, programming, troubleshooting, and enhancements. Also, responsible for documenting and developing procedures. Provides analytical support and reports for various projects, programs and portfolios to project managers, program/project team leaders and other internal and external stakeholders as assigned.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Core responsibilities focus on operational/tactical aspects of the organization and limited, if any, strategic focus.
  • Utilizes the SAP system for research, analysis and report writing.
  • Create automated financial and project management reports and validate the output.
  • Track and monitor financial and operational metrics for management.
  • Manage business plan initiatives and create processes to streamline the collection of data.
  • Maintains and enhances systems as required to support operations.
  • Performs system administration duties of various software platforms, applications and integration.
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots application/system operation and provides timely resolution to system issues.
  • Assists users in resolving system design issues and maintenance concerns.
  • Identifies improvements in existing processes needed to increase the level of efficiency.
  • Collaborates with management in managing financial efficiency.
  • Develops, maintains and presents process guidelines.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
  • Performs system administration duties of various software platforms and applications.
  • Evaluates systems to ensure reliable operation and performance.
  • Performs other project and process improvement initiatives as assigned

Minimum Skills

Minimum Knowledge and Abilities


Programmer/analyst experience in a field supporting and providing technical and analytical solutions.Knowledge of programmer/analyst experience in a field supporting and providing financial and operational solutions.Relative experience in program/project management for Operational Units.Understands processes and procedures in specialized field.Initiative to work independently or as a member of a team, coordinating with others to achieve desired resultsWell-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.Ability to meet goals and objectives with minimal direct supervision.Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.Ability to make recommendations and independent decisions.High level of accuracy of work and attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to work in a team environment, coordinating with other areas to achieve goals and objectives.Ability to work in a variety of locations such as the field, construction centers and the main office.Ability to identify alternative solutions for development of decision-making proposals, which support organizational goals/objectives and budget constraints.Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree or relevant Certification.
  • Extensive experience with administration of applications.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Project.
  • Relative experience in supporting utility construction & maintenance.

Minimum Education


Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Math, the Natural Sciences, or other quantitative field from an accredited university or related area; proven working experience may be used in lieu of degree

Working Environment


Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.Employee may potentially be exposed to hazardous chemicals, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather, noisy and dusty environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events.After hours work may be required. Works various fluctuating schedules to include rotating shift work, call duty, extended hours and weekends.

Physical Demands
