About your team

Enterprise Data and Analytics team comprises of Fidelity’s MI and Analytics capability team in India and is a strategic area targeted for growth over the coming years. The portfolio of projects will include a large collection of strategic initiatives as well as tactical ones to support day-to-day operations and strengthen the environment by providing the insights required.The team helps deriving the value from the data.

About your Role

This role is for a Analyst Programmer who can understand functional, technical requirements and has the ability to understand the implications associated with the chosen technical strategy well aligned with the business context. The successful candidate would carry out reporting/visualization development/enhancement and work with a high performing team in an individual contributor role to imlement BI and Analytical solutions. The successful candidate will be expected to interact with all levels of the business and technical community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.
  • Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders and support solution design.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and cleansing using Power Query.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Create and maintain DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs with a solid understanding of DAX evaluation context.
  • Build and support efficient data models and ensure report accuracy and performance.
  • Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service, including dataset refresh monitoring.
  • Implement and support Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage dashboard access requests and user permissions.
  • Monitor and improve report and dashboard performance using Power BI best practices.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Business Analysts, and other teams to ensure data quality and successful report delivery.
  • Perform testing, troubleshoot reporting issues, and support deployments across environments.

About you

Essential Skills are:

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience delivering end‑to‑end projects in data visualization and reporting.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Powerbi Desktop, with direct ownership of dashboard development and implementation.
  • Strong expertise in creating diverse visualizations including line charts, pie charts, histograms, maps, scatter plots, bubble charts, heat maps, waterfall charts, treemaps, and custom visuals.
  • Experience connecting Powerbi to multiple data sources (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, CSV) using both live connections and extracts.
  • Experience in data preparation and transformation within Tableau—joins, custom SQL, unions, and blending data from disparate sources.
  • Strong capability in writing custom SQL queries (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server) for pulling and transforming data used in dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of data visualization best practices, layout design, and selection of appropriate visual elements for storytelling.
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively in alignment with project timelines and shifting priorities.
  • Educational qualification: B.Tech, MCA, MBA, or equivalent degree in a relevant field from a reputed institute.
