Job Description

CMMS (Common Materials Management system) used to provide releases [requirement] for part procurement – This position plays a key role in ensuring BOM integrity in ensuring right requirement are provided to supplier and ensure System Vs Actual usage in production are carried without any BOM discrepancies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure 100% BOM accuracy for Global product vehicle lines (Except Otosan), Powertrain (Except NA), Transmission plants (Except NA), Frame assembly & Battery assembly that are managed centrally from India.
  • Liase with Plant MP&L, PD, NMP, PVT, VOME and other cross function teams as applicable to close the identified Bill of Material discrepancies.
  • Willingness to work in flexible shift timings [Based on the Plant and DnR regions handled], especially in North America, South America, Europe & Australia time zone.
  • Perform PPM launch related activities in co-ordination with NMP & Program team to ensure timely system set-ups.
  • Track all new PDL’s / CRF’s / TIBs in region and drive team to ensure MP&L / PPM timings are supportable.
  • Represent PPM in PST meetings, Regional BOM and Order meetings, Director’s review to highlight PPM open issues (if any) and discuss next steps / containment plans for prebuilds.
  • Support to resolve BOM queries, discrepancies and ensure right supplier release data.
  • Support PD team in engineering change implementation of TVM / Cost reduction and revenue enhancement product actions.
  • Utilize Global audit tool EMPRESS for definition of the parts based on PDL and ensure verifying part to part usage, quantity per vehicle for ongoing production, Bundle changes, Added-Starter and Major launches.
  • Ensure Supplier release accuracy through BOM audits and communicate to Plant teams for any discrepancies and work for Interim & Permanent fix
  • Prepare and maintain accurate Commodity audits (daily rates). Ensure updates are made at an appropriate timeframe to meet all program objectives.
  • Create, Maintain & Conduct part list audits for BOM structures as applicable.
  • Support Physical BOM validation at Manufacturing Plant to ensure BOM integrity for New models, Major Launches, Bundle programs and added starter programs.
  • Support the identification, collaboration & implementation of best processes / training development for the PPM organization.
  • Collaborate with plant MP&L and Industrial engineering team to develop Teledata handbook for Broadcast chart coding
  • Ensure 100% accurate Broadcast Bill of material coding in mainframe system with reference to launch milestones and engineering changes.
  • Material Release & Sourcing changes [North America Vehicle plants] – Ensure responding to supplier queries with respect to Release queries. Manage sourcing actions in system based on CMMS Mailbox.
  • Improve process through smart ideas and automated workflow’s and dashboards.

Education Qualification : Graduate from Engineering Discipline. Post graduation added advantage

Number of Years of Exp : 3+Years with Engineering change and BOM management

Professional Exposure : Engineering change management, Bill of Material Management, Production Development, Design & Research

Skill & Knowledge requirement : Good communication and analytical skills, Knowledge on Vehicles & Power trains. Hands on experience in ERP(SAP), Engineering management & Material management systems. Knowledge on experience in Automation tools [Alteryx, Python, Qliksense, Power automate, Power BI, GCP]

Willing to work in flexible shifts.
