Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SIIG) with Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC, through a wholly owned affiliate Arabian Chevron Phillips Petrochemical Company (ACP), has two 50/50 joint venture projects in the Eastern Province Industrial City of Al-Jubail: Saudi Chevron Phillips Company (SCP) and Jubail Chevron Phillips Company (JCP). A third joint venture, Saudi Polymers Company (SPCo), is jointly owned by ACP and National Petrochemical Company (Petrochem).
The purpose of the role is to perform transactional accounting activities for a plant. Scope of work includes but not limited to analyzing trends, costs, Inventory, & material consumption incurred to be used further to predict future revenues, expenses, creation of financial statements and analysis.
• Review and perform accounting transactions and reporting for all of S-Chem manufacturing plants, includes addressing material price, projects & work order settlement variances.
• Provide general accounting support for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings including inventory accuracy, cost review and classification/reclassification, product cost build-up, reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts (assets/inventory) and inventory net change.
• Analysis of monthly operating variances and records explanations through coordination with the plant operations and maintenance teams to justify the fluctuations in volume/amounts in context to budget and other internal, seasonal or market impacts.
• Monitor inventory data to physical accuracy and completeness through facilitation of monthly inventory counts and reconciliations at all production plants.
• Work with projects and maintenance teams to ensure accuracy of fixed asset listings, this may include addition, deletion and asset disposition, depreciation and capitalization requirements followed by internal policies.
• Reviews production and feedstock consumption data to ensure accuracy of records, its entry in the system and to perform variance analysis.
• Review open PO and GRIRs and follow up with concerned functions for timely closure.
• Contributes toward full cycle budgeting process, through collection of data from various departments, its analysis (variance justification), and embedding management directions for approvals and necessary budget cuts.
• Assist with annual review and audit of internal control procedures to maintain compliance and to minimize financial risk to the plant.
• Analyze and report the product offering, their pricing strategies, and profitability aspects in comparison to the market through engagement with third party firms and participating in the surveys.
• Strictly follows internal policies, accounting standards and practices or other compliance requirements in all activities performed.
• Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process & continuous process improvement for the area assigned.
• Performs any other relevant task as directed direct Section Head Plant Accounting.

• Applied knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and practices.
• Must have exposure to ERP System – SAP or related.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
