Supports and develops clinical systems as they relate to medication use and safety. Creates appropriate changes within the applications to support daily operational workflow within the health system pharmacies. Understands the requirements related to the various medication use initiatives and translates these requirements into detailed design specifications within the pharmacy applications. Meets as needed with members of both the Clinical Pharmacy team and other IT teams to ensure that the solutions being designed within the EMR with regard to medication use are viable and effective. Responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects ensuring successful completion of project expectations within the required timeline. Provision of 24/7 on call support required.
Licensure in clinical area – rPH, PharmD required. 2 to 3 years of equivalent professional experience in varied pharmacy and clinical applications, as they relate to medication use and safety, in support, build and implementation. Some project management experience. Proficient PC and Microsoft Office skills required. Effective oral and written communication skills. Work requires the analytical ability to resolve varied problems with team members utilizing basic technical principles and experience-based knowledge. Work requires the exercise of judgment in order to establish requirements and objectives
