WORKFORCE TECHNOLOGY AND SVCS (WTS)
WTS provides technology solutions which improve personal productivity, collaboration, and connectivity to people and information across Morgan Stanley.
As a Software Engineer, you will be acting as a liaison between the business clients and business analysis, development teams, and technology management. In this role you will be responsible for working with stakeholders to analyze requirements, working in agile development teams through the SDLC, and assisting the Project managers, Prod Support and Business Analysis in project delivery. The ideal candidate, while having the skills listed below should be a self-driven, dedicated individual who works well in a global team and thinks and acts strategically.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Work as a Fullstack developer and get involved in all phases of development from solution definition to deployment.
> Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Experience with provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
> Automation & CI/CD:
Proficiency in automating deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and managing infrastructure as code (IaC).
> Monitoring & Incident Response:
Familiarity with application and infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and incident response best practices to ensure high availability and performance.
> Responsible for the development, maintenance and support of multiple distributed applications
> Contributing to 24x7 availability and scalability of the solutions
> Testing software designs and solutions (including debugging and troubleshooting)
> Promote the firm's values and set an example for team members upholding those values SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
> Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field required
> At least 1+ years of experience in software development/Internship & troubleshooting, debugging.
> At least 1+ years of experience preferable as a Java/Python and UI technologies with Strong analytical skills and programing skills.
> Relevant experience with business requirements, structured analysis, process design, UML process and use case definition.
> Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Capable of collaborating effectively across a variety of Technology and Business groups.
> Strong problem-solving skills and Experience in Webops role.
> GitHub, Runway, Jenkins, Jira, Copilot
> Angular, React, Java Script
> SpringBoot Java 8+ versions
> Python 3.12
> DB- PostgresSql, DB2, MongoDB
> Worked on Agile Methodology will be preferred.
> Any Cloud experience is a Plus like AWS, Azure
