
Finance Business Partner for Tech (Assoc/Director level)
We're seeking individuals to join our team as a Finance Business Partner to work in our Finance Division.
The Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in supporting technology-driven initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights that enable effective decision-making. By leveraging strong analytical skills and a proactive approach, you will help ensure that financial objectives are aligned with broader organisational strategy, contributing to the continued success and growth of Morgan Stanley's technology functions.
The role also includes management and oversight at the regional, location, and department levels.

What you'll do in the role:
The successful candidate will report to the local team lead as part of the Technology Finance & BM team. Responsibilities include supporting finance and business management functions such as expense management, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting. The position requires strong communication skills, independence, and a delivery-focused mindset in a fast-paced environment.
1. Financial analysis of a Technology department:
o Partner with Senior Business manager, IT Department leadership, Finance, Sourcing
o Collaborate in cross-department efforts for annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, strategic investments, and cost efficiency
o Develop, analyze, and present findings in response to senior management requests, focusing on budget, workforce, and program deliverables
2. Financial Reporting:
o Support financial transparency and accountability through detailed and accurate reporting including analysis of actuals versus budget, and preparation of commentary for the monthly and quarterly expense review packs
o Create capital and vendor spend reporting from Power BI
o Report project cost to multiple levels of stakeholders in a clear, concise and transparent fashion
3. Project work:
o Support new systems and functionality enhancements
o Seek process improvement opportunities
o Actively participate in AI adoption What you'll bring to the role:
