Your Opportunity

One Permanent Full Time Position.

The Analyst, Supply & Trading (Ontario & NYISO) supports the management of commodity exposure and commercial performance of the Ontario generation fleet. This role provides analytical, operational, and commercial support across dispatch optimization, fuel procurement, speculation and contract management.

This position is well suited for a commercially minded analyst with strong analytical skills and an interest in power and gas markets, asset‑backed portfolios, and complex contractual frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support analysis of dispatch strategy and commodity exposure for Ontario contracted thermal assets.
  • Assist with natural gas procurement, storage utilization, and transport analysis to support reliable and economic operations.
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools, reports, and market summaries related to power and gas markets.
  • Support interpretation and tracking of contractual provisions.
  • Monitor market fundamentals, pricing, and system conditions in the Ontario power and gas markets.
  • Coordinate with trading, operations, risk, and asset teams to support day‑to‑day commercial decision‑making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel; experience with Python, SQL, or similar tools is an asset.
  • Interest in power and gas markets, asset optimization, and commodity trading.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • In-office position with limited travel required

  • Location: Calgary
