The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Director, Municipal Law Enforcement, this role is responsible for assigned projects through performing research, benchmarking, analyzing and making recommendations regarding Town By-laws, corporate Policy development and legislative requirements impacting the Town of Caledon. You will be responsible for providing By-law information and interpretations pursuant to municipal By-laws. As the Analyst, Municipal Law Enforcement Services, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

• Coordinate the development of By-law related projects and initiatives in coordination with various divisions and provide leadership and direction to participants.
• Coordinate implementation of new or amended By-laws and policies including the development of associated forms, educational materials, etc.
• Coordinate and lead all public meetings, stakeholder consultations and industry associated engagements on By-law reviews.
• Prepare all associated reports for Committee and Council with respect to recommended By-laws and By-law amendments.
• Conduct necessary outreach and partnership building with various stakeholder groups.
• Provide guidance to Coordinators, Municipal Law Enforcement regarding project development, positive issues resolution and job-related standard practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure enforcement systems and tools are optimized for operational effectiveness, and proactively identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional with a post-secondary degree/diploma in public policy/public administration or a closely related field. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-3 years related experience.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated good problem-solving abilities. We are seeking an individual with superior leadership, negotiation, and collaboration skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines, and excellent presentation skills and outstanding writing. The successful candidate for Analyst, Municipal Law Enforcement Services will be required to work a flexible schedule, including in the office, remotely and after hours (as required).

This position offers a salary range of $87,912.40 to $109,890.50 plus a competitive benefit package.

Satisfactory passing of a criminal record check, and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
