Job Description

As a settlement administrator, we are responsible for notifying potential class members, reviewing and processing claim forms filed by individuals and entities, calculating losses, auditing claims to determine the extent of the damages incurred and processing and distributing funds to eligible class members under the court’s direction. The Analyst will be part of the operations team, supporting the Banking team with all operational tasks including but not limited to bank reconciliation, preparing and reviewing taxation trackers, managing fund transfers and case status reporting. Together, they will provide consistent superior client service. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be consultative and solution-oriented, and be capable of managing multiple priorities. The Analyst must be a team player, committed to fostering a team environment and building cooperation between team members to provide the highest quality service to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to perform quality checks and manage secure fund transfers, ensure tax compliance, and prepare reports for courts and stakeholders detailing the process, status and outcomes
  • Managing and executing payments to qualified claimants using wires, e-payments, cheques etc.
  • Review claim reconciliation reports and validate distribution files shared by project teams.
  • Execute payments to qualified claimants using approved banking platforms and methods.
  • Query resolution of new team members
  • Maintain accurate claims data and ensure confidentiality and transaction integrity.
  • Use tools like Monday.com, CAS, and Court Link to track tasks, manage tickets, and generate reports.
  • Reviewing request tickets and providing the necessary reports and role assignments.
  • Coordinating with internal project teams and stakeholders throughout the distribution process to ensure alignment and proactive issue resolution.
  • Perform routine tasks like bank reconciliations, check file generation, reissues, case closures and administrative activities for the involved parties
  • Handle special requests including EIN applications, funding invoices, and non-class member payments.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with project team members, on projects to ensure appropriate understanding of all projects
  • Track all hours worked on each project accurately.

Essential Traits:

  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in Bank Reconciliation & Tax filing is preferred
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision and flexible with shifts
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Monday.com
  • Experience in the legal field or in the service industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, calm demeanor.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to efficiently gather and process information in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
