Location: this posting is for an existing vacancy in Wellington-Altus’s Winnipeg or Toronto office.

The opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Transformation Enablement, the Analyst, Investment Practice Management and Support, supports the execution and delivery of advisor-facing investment programs, platform initiatives, and operational enablement activities across the Managed Investments portfolio.

This role contributes to the everyday operational success of the investment management platform (Envestnet), as well as supports the implementation of investment programs and platform enhancements. The Analyst works closely with internal stakeholders across the Managed Investment department and advisor-facing teams to ensure initiatives are operationally ready, clearly documented, and supported with consistent enablement materials.

Key responsibilities include:

Investment Platform Support (Envestnet)

  • Providing day-to-day operational support for the Envestnet platform, including assistance with portfolio modeling, trading workflows, and model implementation processes.
  • Supporting the setup, maintenance, and execution of portfolio models, including model updates, rebalancing activities, and validation of inputs in accordance with defined processes and controls.
  • Assisting with analysis and documentation related to Envestnet workflows, platform configurations, and modeling standards.
  • Supporting onboarding activities for advisors and internal teams onto Envestnet by preparing materials, checklists, and operational documentation.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting Envestnet-related issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors as required, and escalating issues appropriately.

Platform & Advisor Enablement Support

  • Supporting advisor-facing platform workflows, tools, and operational processes by assisting with analysis, documentation, and issue tracking.
  • Assisting in identifying workflow issues, inefficiencies, and feature gaps within investment platform and advisor tools.
  • Supporting the preparation of advisor-facing materials, including workflow guides, training documentation, and knowledge base resources.
  • Assisting with platform rollout activities, including communication support and readiness tracking.
  • Supporting the coordination of advisor-facing sessions, including roadshows, demos, and training initiatives.

Program & Initiative Execution Support

  • Supporting the execution of investment program initiatives by maintaining project trackers, timelines, dependencies, and status reporting.
  • Assisting with documentation of program requirements, workflows, and operating procedures to support consistent delivery.
  • Supporting cross-functional coordination across Technology, Operations, Compliance, and external vendors to ensure execution activities remain aligned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or diploma in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of CSC or CIRE is an asset.
  • 3-5 years in an analyst, operations, business analysis, or enablement role.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives, programs, or platform-related work.

  • Exposure to financial services or wealth management preferred.

  • Proficiency with the MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience or familiarity with advisor platforms, workflow systems, or financial services technology is an asset.
  • Experience with Investment Modelling and Trading Platforms are considered an asset. (Envestnet, Croesus, etc.).
  • Exposure to process mapping, workflow documentation, or business analysis concepts is preferred.
  • Demonstrated high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day-to-day work and long-term goals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities in a structured manner.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation.

  • Exemplary interpersonal and influencing skills; an ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively, across multiple mediums (in-person, over the phone, and virtually).

  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations with appropriate guidance.

Compensation & benefits:

Range $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually.

This range represents Wellington-Altus's expected range of compensation for this position. Actual compensation will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. Compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

Wellington-Altus's total compensation package for employees may also include discretionary bonuses as well as other perks and rewards. Wellington-Altus also offers health insurance, accident and life insurance, and other unique benefits per location.

Conditions of employment:

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to travel within Canada 0-5% of the time.
