Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Finance Division is a key business partner, balancing oversight with support. With uncompromising integrity at its core, the division works proactively and collaboratively to deliver insights, enable solutions, and drive financial stewardship, contributing to the Club’s sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term success.

The Department

The Investment Office is responsible for managing the Club's financial assets and associated risks to align with the Club's mission and objectives. Within Investment Office, there are four distinct units: Investment Strategy, Investments, Investment Operations, and Investment Risk. The job holder focuses on the operations, supporting the implementation of the Club's investment activities and providing operational support across the investment lifecycle.

The Job

• Review fund accounting reports prepared by custodians and fund administrators to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare and process accounting entries to the Club’s accounting system and collaborate with internal stakeholders on accounting matters relating to the investment portfolio.
• Coordinate the timely collection and validation of performance data, input and maintain data quality and integrity within the performance reporting system and prepare monthly investment performance reports for the Club’s investment portfolio.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating the performance of the Club’s service providers against agreed service standards and liaise with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Provide end-to-end trade support for investment transactions, including trade confirmation reconciliation, settlement instruction preparation, settlement monitoring, and the timely resolution of settlement exceptions.
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of service provider invoices, capital calls, and other investment-related cash payments and receipts, while maintaining appropriate records and supporting documentation.
• Support the administration of the Investment Office’s document management system, including document filing, record retention, and access management.
• Coordinate with IT on system implementations, enhancements, and the resolution of IT-related issues.
• Support implementation of Investment Operations initiatives, including identifying and implementing any process improvement initiatives by leveraging technology automation, and AI solution to enhance operational efficiency, data quality and workflow effectiveness.
• Assist in monitoring fund managers’ compliance with investment guidelines.
• Support the compilation and tracking of financial budget information.

About You

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in audit, accounting, investment operations, middle office, or a related role within the financial services industry.
• Fresh graduates with strong academic credentials and relevant internship experience will also be considered.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. Experience in Python and VBA programming and automation solutions would be advantageous.
