Job Description

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct evaluation of applicant information, forms, and documents to determine if program requirements are satisfied
  • Validate third party data related to applicant financial information for program compliance
  • Complete outreach to third-party entities to complete application as needed
  • Calculate income threshold for applicants and conduct review of financial eligibility
  • Evaluate and determine program pathways for homeowners seeking mortgage and non-mortgage assistance based on program policies and procedures
  • Establish final applicant eligibility status for progression to program funding
  • Create accurate deficiency reports for communication to applicants to identify outstanding program eligibility requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain applicant electronic files through progression of file lifecycle
  • Apply critical thinking and problem solving to complete applicant files
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, seeking and offering assistance when needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to meet production goals as set by the program
  • An Associate’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Preferred (not required) 1 - 2 years of work experience in mortgage orientation, loan officer, or federally funded, state run benefit programs.
  • Preferred (not required) Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage loan application procedures, policies, guidelines, and regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), able to learn new software and database/management information systems
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional ability to articulate details in a manner understandable to a variety of individuals in person and over the phone
  • Ability to work successfully with socio-economic and ethnically diverse applicants
  • Team player skilled in multi-tasking, organizing, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule that can accommodate evenings and Saturdays as scheduled.
