Analyst, Global Insurance & Treasury

Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical Analyst, Global Insurance & Treasury. The role will be primarily focused on supporting the Company’s global insurance and risk management activities, with secondary exposure to treasury-related processes and reporting

Reporting to the Senior Treasury Manager, the Analyst will play a key role in the coordination, administration, and documentation of the Company’s global insurance program. This includes supporting insurance renewals, policy documentation, premium tracking, certificates of insurance, claims and risk reporting, and communication with brokers, insurers, mine sites, and internal stakeholders.

The successful candidate will gain broad exposure to insurance, risk management, and treasury in a dynamic mining environment while contributing to well-controlled processes, accurate reporting, and effective risk transfer across the organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the annual insurance renewal process by collecting, organizing, and validating underwriting information, schedules, data, and supporting documentation from corporate and mine sites
  • Liaise with insurance brokers, insurers, mine sites, and internal stakeholders to support the timely issuance, review, and maintenance of insurance policies, certificates, binders, endorsements, and related documentation
  • Track insurance premiums, invoices, allocations, and payment status to ensure costs are accurately coded, allocated to the appropriate mine sites, and submitted for payment on a timely basis
  • Maintain and organize insurance records, schedules, summaries, and internal tracking tools to support effective program administration, audit readiness, and management reporting
  • Assist with claims coordination, loss reporting, and collection of supporting documentation, working with brokers, insurers, legal, operations, and finance teams as required
  • Support quarterly, annual, and ad hoc insurance and risk reporting, including preparation of analysis, summaries, presentations, and variance explanations for internal stakeholders
  • Support the placement and ongoing administration of surety bonds, letters of credit, and other risk transfer or financial assurance instruments, coordinating with treasury, legal, operations, and external partners as needed
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of insurance and risk management procedures, treasury process documentation, calendars, and checklists to promote consistency and strong internal controls
  • Provide secondary support to treasury activities on an as-needed basis, including assistance with daily cash positioning, cash management reporting, banking documentation, letters of credit, and other treasury coordination activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational, administrative, and reporting requirements across insurance, risk management, finance, treasury, legal, and mine site teams
  • Perform other duties and provide general support as required

What You Bring!

  • Strong interest in corporate insurance, risk management, treasury, and finance, with a desire to build expertise in insurance within a mining or natural resources environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in insurance, finance, treasury, accounting, risk management, or a related corporate environment
  • Experience within mining or natural resources is an asset
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize information clearly and accurately for different audiences
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a professional and detail-oriented approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines in a dynamic environment, and remain calm under pressure
  • A strong sense of personal integrity and teamwork while maintaining the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships
  • Strong documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Proactive, dependable, and motivated, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Progression toward or completion of CIP, CRM, ARM, CFA, CPA, or CTP designations is considered an asset
  • Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written
