Inspirational, innovative and entrepreneurial - this is how we describe our empowered teams. Combine your passion with purpose and join a culture that is thriving in the face of change.

Make an impact with our Digital Forensics team as an Analyst. Our diverse team of professionals work in a fast-paced, high impact environment. Our team is involved in high-profile and often sensitive matters, working closely with police, legal counsel, and other professionals. Our investigations have been featured in the media and frequently involve headline-making events such as domestic disputes, cyber intrusions, corporate conflicts, and other complex scenarios. If you thrive under pressure and want your work to matter, you’ll find this role both challenging and exciting.

MNP is proudly Canadian. Providing business strategies and solutions, we are a leading national accounting, tax and business advisory firm in Canada. Entrepreneurial to our core, our talented team members transcend obstacles into opportunities and are successfully transforming mid-market business practices.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with investigators to understand the scope, methodology, findings, and conclusions of forensic investigations and translate them into clear, accurate, and defensible forensic reports
  • Synthesize complex investigative information, evidence, and timelines into well-structured, logical, and professional written reports suitable for legal, executive, and regulatory audiences
  • Critically evaluate the logic, consistency, and defensibility of investigative methods and conclusions, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, or areas requiring clarification
  • Actively participate in investigations by reviewing evidence, identifying additional sources of information, suggesting alternative analytical approaches, and considering related or overlooked areas of inquiry
  • Assist with evidence management, including reviewing, organizing, and logging evidentiary materials in a methodical and well-documented manner
  • Collaborate with investigative teams to ensure reports accurately reflect the evidence, investigative steps taken, and professional opinions formed
  • Participate in occasional on-site activities, including evidence collections, search warrants, and Anton Piller orders, as required
  • Ensure all written work meets internal quality standards, maintains objectivity, and adheres to forensic and legal best practices
  • Engage with clients on an as-needed basis to clarify scope, objectives, and reporting requirements, ensuring deliverables align with client needs and professional standards
  • Maintain flexibility to travel and work outside of regular scheduled hours, as necessary.

Skills and Experience

  • Must have a Degree or a Diploma, any legal training would be considered an asset
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-reasoned reports based on complex information
  • Strong oral communication skills, with the ability to ask effective questions and engage investigators to fully understand investigative processes and findings
  • Highly developed critical-thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to assess logic, identify weaknesses, and recognize evidentiary gaps
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and completeness in written work
  • Methodical and organized approach to work, particularly when handling evidence, documentation, and investigative materials
  • Experience in research-based or analytical report writing (e.g., forensic, legal, compliance, audit, intelligence, or investigative reporting) is a significant asset
