Introduction to role:

Are you ready to turn complex healthcare data into decision-ready forecasts that shape brand strategy and, ultimately, patient access to life-changing medicines? As an Analyst - Forecasting based at Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore (2 PM–11 PM IST, Hybrid), you will be a critical partner to global and US commercial leaders, translating signals from markets into transparent, defensible outlooks for our most strategic brands and early assets.

You will work at the center of cross-functional decision-making—linking insights from research, epidemiology, finance and market access into patient- and volume-based models that guide investment and planning. You will help set expectations for performance in top priority markets, surface risks and opportunities, and evolve the forecasting capabilities that keep our business agile and effective. Accountabilities:

- Demand Forecast Ownership: Deliver robust, transparent forecasts for strategic brands and therapy areas across key global markets and/or the US, documenting assumptions and confidence levels.

- Model Development and Maintenance: Build and maintain short- and long-term product forecasts, ensuring models reflect the latest data, research and market dynamics.

- Assumptions and Scenario Management: Apply industry-leading modelling approaches, run sensitivity analyses and quantify ranges to guide risk and opportunity management.

- Cross-Functional Challenge and Alignment: Confidently defend methodology and outputs with commercial, market access, pricing, finance and sales operations partners to drive shared understanding and alignment.

- New Product Introduction Forecasting: Develop volume and patient forecasts for pipeline and life-cycle management opportunities to inform strategic and operational planning.

- Data Integration and Research Synthesis: Incorporate primary research and secondary sources into forecast assumptions; proactively leverage IQVIA, claims, epidemiology and other datasets to strengthen evidence.

- Capability Building and Innovation: Advance forecasting methodologies (statistical, predictive, simulations/Monte Carlo) and embed automation and data-led improvements to increase value and explain uncertainty.

- Business Planning Support: Lead core inputs to planning cycles, sales bridges and ad-hoc analyses; clearly surface issues that impact outlooks and decisions.

- Global Portfolio Expansion: Create new forecasting models as business needs arise for early assets, lifecycle initiatives and business development evaluations.

- US Process Integration: Participate in S&OP, submit volumes and manage weekly/monthly/yearly models and conversions for the US where applicable.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

- 4+ years of direct Pharmaceutical forecasting experience with an in-depth knowledge of forecasting techniques, models and approaches

- Good understanding of one or more disease areas with experience in rare diseases/ OBU including how patients move through their respective diagnosis and treatment pathways, including treatment dynamics

- Experience integrating insights from market research and secondary data analysis into forecast assumptions

- Experience utilizing a range of data sources and analytics involving standard data in the Pharmaceutical industry – e.g. IQVIA (MIDAS, DDD NPA, Monthly Xponent), claims data (Truven, Marketscan), epidemiological data, etc. For US forecasting, experience with TRx / NBRx / NRx data and methodologies

- Strong analytical expertise; excellent Excel, financial modelling and forecasting skills

- Strong written and verbal communication

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Advanced degree preferred (e.g., PhD, MBA, Masters)

- Knowledge and experience in sophisticated statistical forecast methodologies and applied AI / ML / automation

- Experience working with Power Apps, specifically PowerBI

- For US forecasting, proven understanding of US Market Access and gross-to-net
