First Line Risk Analyst – CPS230 & Risk Systems

We’re looking for a First Line Risk Analyst – CPS230 & Risk Systems to join our Risk Services team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, First Line Risk, this role plays a key part in strengthening our first line risk capability across the business, with a strong focus on CPS230, risk systems and data‑driven insights.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of risk, technology and operations, partnering closely with stakeholders to embed a strong and practical risk culture.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the development and ongoing uplift of the First Line Risk framework, aligned to CPS230 and Board risk appetite
  • Managing and overseeing risk activity within the GRC system, ensuring risks, actions and treatments are tracked, maintained and completed on time
  • Analysing risk data to identify emerging risks, trends and insights, and translating these into clear, value‑adding recommendations
  • Producing high‑quality analysis, insights and presentations for Risk Committees, risk forums and senior leadership
  • Monitoring risk registers, action plans and mitigations, including assurance mapping, root cause analysis and remediation support
  • Partnering with the business to embed a “risk as a mindset” culture and drive continuous improvement in decision‑making
  • Maintaining CPS230 process maps and supporting regulatory compliance and assurance activities

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in operational risk, compliance or a related discipline within financial services (superannuation experience is highly regarded)
  • A solid understanding of risk management principles and how they apply in a regulated, operational environment
  • Confidence working with risk systems, data and reporting to generate meaningful insights
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and build trust with stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset, strong attention to detail and a commitment to role‑modelling MUFG values
