About the Role

This role has responsibility to support Head of Client Coverage as well as manage his/ her own portfolio to maximize business revenue and returns from a portfolio of FIG clients in Indonesia through the implementation and execution of the FIG Indonesia strategy. This role is key to the FIG business with coverage of a priority growth segment Financial Institutions which includes Banks, Funds, Insurance and Diversified Financials. Some experiences in Banking & Finance and Financial Institutions are preferable but having the right values and work ethic with an ability to learn quickly is more important in this role as there will be supported to help develop the right candidate to succeed as a coverage banker within FIG.

Key responsibilities include supporting the coverage bankers in client relationship management including onboarding & KYC, direct deal engagement and execution with a strong focus on the account management aspects of supporting complex transaction banking clients. The candidate will develop and maintain internal relationships with key stakeholders including product partners, operations, their FI team counterparts around the region as the segment continues to deliver an efficient account coverage program.

What will your day look like?

Financial

  • Support client relationships to achieve maximum returns as well as top and bottom-line revenue targets for Financial Institutions client set.
  • Manage a portfolio of smaller/ low touch clients.

Customer

  • Support with origination, structuring, evaluation and execution on prospective deals
  • Collaborate with product partners and enablement colleagues to develop/up-tier relationships and win mandates
  • Responsible key operational processes in support of the client relationship such as KYC and ongoing account management.
  • Help support strategic initiatives

Process

  • Strong engagement with enablement colleagues to ensure strong client servicing and the running of a well-managed portfolio. This is a key part of the role.
  • Maintain integrity/accuracy of monthly financials/ ICIS for client set
  • Timely updating of pipelines, call notes, briefing notes, & account plans

People

  • Contribute to creation of an out-performance culture and a diverse and engaged team through effective collaboration
  • Effective management of one's own development planning    
  • Strong engagement skills with Product partners and Risk colleagues as well as overall communications with all stakeholders

Risk/Compliance:

  • Understand/collaborate with Product Partners, R&A team and other stakeholders as required
  • Support the risk and compliance objectives of the first line of defence, coverage and ensure appropriate risk management

What will you bring?

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, Acute analytical thinking abilities and a quick learner
  • Highly organised with the ability to handle an atmosphere of demanding high-pressure work and stretched working hours, when required.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with capacity to operate successfully across cultures   
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment with varied work responsibility depending on business needs
  • Proficiency in financial/ accounting terms to interpret and analyse financial statements and capital structures and to prepare client presentations, marketing materials, and pitch books
  • Working knowledge on credit, on market product, on cross-border payment, documentation (KYC, ISDA, facility agreement) to independently collaborate with ANZ SME (subject matter expert) in other geographies as well as parent companies of the clients.
  • Previous experience in Financial Industry is advantageous, particularly with FIG experience.
  • Indonesian citizen with excellent English proficiency
  • Strong credit/ risk management capabilities as well as products (DCM/ Corporate Finance/ Markets product)
