In your role, you will:
• Sponsor the cost reduction project portfolio, keep the project list up to date, and ensure its prioritization.
• Support the teams responsible for identifying, analyzing, and executing projects from a methodological perspective.
• Produce the required annual investment budget and quarterly forecasts for the project portfolio.
• Analyze the current figures and variances compared to forecasts.
• Identify, discuss, and contribute to the management of risks and opportunities.
• Approve projects according to established eligibility and profitability criteria and propose methodological improvements when required.
• Account for expected and realized recurring cost reductions and analyze variances against our corporate objectives.
• Monitor the health of major projects in the portfolio in terms of adherence to schedule and budget and suggest corrective actions.
• Produce and analyze key performance indicators and report on them monthly.
• Produce and present materials during monthly governance meetings at the executive level.
• Provide training to stakeholders on concepts, processes, and tools related to project portfolio management.
• Lead or support the implementation of the new financial tracking tool for activities related to Profitability, contribute to defining requirements and implementing technical solutions.
• Work in a multifunctional environment where you interact with all management levels.
• Maintain a large volume of financial data efficiently and rigorously.
As our ideal candidate,
• You hold a university degree in management, finance, business administration, or the equivalent.
• You have more than five (5) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace is an asset).
• You are bilingual in French and English, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can influence at different levels of the organization.
• You are proficient in MS Office and are interested in learning and deploying new software.
• You have strong financial management skills, as well as strong abilities in analysis, synthesis, planning, and problem-solving.
• You have knowledge and experience in project management (PMP certification is an asset).
• You show interest in Bombardier products and wish to develop a general understanding of the technical content of projects.
• You are an organized and autonomous person and possess informal leadership skills.
• You have initiative, are results-oriented, and have the desire to make decisions.
