Job Description

The primary responsibility of an Analyst in the Derivatives Group is to assist the Marketers (front office) in all facets of the sales cycle. The Analyst will support Senior Marketers in their efforts with business development, analytics, customer service/client interaction, and deal pricing.

Essential Functions

  • Daily responsibilities will include, but is not limited to: pitchbook preparation, market research, quantitative analysis, client interaction, attending sales calls, and period market/quote updates
  • Establish strong internal, customer-focused partnerships with banking teams
  • Draw on the full resources of the company to provide high quality solutions and service to customers
  • Assemble a diverse team to identify ways that our product, sales and service organizations work together to deliver value
  • Gain insight on successes and challenges through client and partner feedback
  • Ensure the integrity of the client database
  • Develop internal and external sales presentation skills
  • Assist in projects, writing reports, pitch books and special assignments, as appropriate
  • Searches actively for efficiencies in the way our organization services customers
  • Demonstrates an understanding about our processes; incorporating changes when necessary
  • Serve as a leader for client quality and service; act decisively to reach solutions, and follow up to assure resolution
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • OR equivalent experience (required)


Work Experience

  • 1+ years of relevant work or internship experience (preferred)


Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint and Word
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work within a team-based environment.
  • Strong quantitative/analytical background
  • Preemptively understands the needs of the client and possesses excellent follow-through ability to help close deals

Physical Demands

  • General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
