Within CIB, our Capital Markets and Advisory team integrates our financing and investment banking activities under a single structure and focuses on three strategic pillars: Financing Solutions (Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Strategic Equity & Financing, Corporate Risk Solutions and Structured Finance), Corporate Finance, which comprises sector bankers and country teams, and Strategic Advisory focused on M&A and Equity Capital Markets.

Reports To: Head of Taiwan DCM

Role Purpose

  1. This Analyst role will be in HSBC Taiwan DCM team to support the growth of our DCM franchise
  2. Our DCM franchise in Taiwan is under the Financing Solutions pillar of HSBC’s Capital Markets and Advisory (CMA) business

Job Contents

  1. Assist in end-to-end process of deal origination and execution, including two main business pillars of Taiwan issuers’ offshore bond issuance and onshore Formosa Bond issuance
  2. Prior to mandate: Assist Taiwan DCM in preparation of pitch materials for various trade ideas, market/pricing updates
  3. Post mandate: Assist in execution with fully coordination with internal/external stakeholders, including but not limited to preparation of regulatory filing documents, marketing materials/sales pack preparation, alignment with Event Team for roadshow logistics, to facilitate roadshow meetings and all necessary internal approval process etc.
  4. Post execution: Assist in post-pricing administrative process to ensure smooth transaction closing both internally/externally, close alignment with internal stakeholders (e.g. operation & finance team) is required
  5. Provide ongoing customer service from product team’s perspective: Support the supervisor to manage associated tasks to address internal/external clients’ requests, e.g. scheduling/project management and support in documentation process

Skills Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics related field, or equivalent experience
  2. Understanding and experiences in capital markets is preferred
  3. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, reliable team player with strong analytical/technical skills and problem-solving mindset
  4. This role will involve client contact and require business proficiency in English and Mandarin in all aspects
  5. GPAD covered worker
