Job Description

The Analyst - Supplier Data Governance is responsible for ensuring supplier data is accurate, complete, and compliant across the organization. This role manages supplier onboarding and maintenance activities, validates supplier information and documentation, supports data quality initiatives, and enforces governance standards that reduce risk and improve operational efficiency. The analyst partners with business stakeholders to resolve data issues, maintain master data integrity, and support reliable business operations and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage supplier master data creation and maintenance, ensuring requests are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with established data standards.
  • Monitor and improve data quality by identifying, analyzing, and resolving inaccurate, incomplete, duplicate, or inconsistent supplier records.
  • Perform data audits, analysis, and reporting to identify exceptions, trends, and data integrity issues, partnering with business stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Execute data cleansing, enrichment, testing, and validation activities in support of system enhancements, ERP upgrades, and governance initiatives.
  • Support supplier risk and fraud prevention efforts through validation controls, banking change reviews, and supplier information verification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to support onboarding, maintenance, compliance requirements, process improvements, and user education on data governance procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Business, Accounting and Technology degree is preferred
  • 1+ year of experience with data handling and manipulation, Master Data Management (MDM) processes, reporting and dashboard development, data analysis, and process automation using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, or similar technologies to improve data quality, operational efficiency, and business reporting.
  • Knowledge of enterprise business systems and data management applications, including Microsoft Excel, Oracle ERP, Informatica MDM, Power BI, and related technologies.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems, analyze data across platforms, perform data validation and troubleshooting, develop reports, and support supplier onboarding, maintenance, compliance, and data governance activities.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in data management, master data, supplier operations, or a related business function; two or more years preferred.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and technology to improve data quality, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills with a positive disposition.
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for accuracy.
  • Reliable with strong organizational skills and solution-oriented philosophy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate a willingness to accept new challenges.
  • Willingness to accommodate temporary working hour changes as required by workflow and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management to accomplish goals and objectives preferred.
  • Knowledge of project planning and LEAN process improvement preferred

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
