Job Description

Job Purpose and Impact

Conducts credit and financial risk assessments by analyzing counterparties, assigning credit ratings, and recommending exposure limits. Partners with cross-functional teams to support due diligence, manage credit exposures, collections, and risk mitigation activities, while monitoring portfolio performance and market developments. Provides actionable insights, ensures compliance with internal controls, and contributes to informed business decisions, loss prevention, and sustainable growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial statement analysis of counterparties, including cash flow forecasting, to deliver high-quality and objective credit assessments, assign internal credit ratings, and provide well-supported recommendations on credit limits and risk exposure.
  • Develop deep industry and market knowledge to effectively evaluate counterparties across multiple sectors and geographic regions.
  • Monitor counterparties and assess the potential impact of market, economic, and industry developments on individual exposures and portfolio performance.
  • Partner with Origination teams to support robust due diligence processes, evaluate business opportunities, and respond to credit-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Structuring teams to gain a strong understanding of trade finance and capital market products, provide independent risk assessments, and recommend effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain close coordination with Transaction Management teams to ensure the accurate implementation of approved risk mitigants and timely reporting of exposures within authorized limits.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and actively identify opportunities to enhance existing credit processes, methodologies, and operational efficiencies.
  • Independently manage complex credit and accounts receivable matters with minimal supervision, escalating only highly complex or sensitive issues when appropriate.
  • Oversee and follow up on collections, disputes, collateral management, past-due accounts, over-limit exposures, and deteriorating credit situations while ensuring adherence to established credit policies and procedures.
  • Support Senior Credit Analysts in developing and executing action plans related to order holds/releases, dispute resolution.
  • Approve credit limits within delegated authority levels and provide recommendations on higher-value exposures requiring senior management review and approval.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and business unit stakeholders to identify root causes of credit exposure, accounts receivable challenges, and operational discrepancies, while proposing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Lead discussions with business stakeholders to implement appropriate risk mitigation actions and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Communicate credit-related matters effectively and proactively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of issues and alignment on risk management objectives.
  • Engage with commercial teams, business unit management, and customers within the assigned portfolio to support sound credit decision-making and relationship management.
  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain management reports on account performance, credit exposures, portfolio trends, and key risk metrics, while ensuring compliance with audit requirements, regulatory standards, and internal control frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Master's degree in Finance or related field.
  • Exposure to Power BI reporting and VBA tools is preferred to support data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office is required.
