Job Description

As an Analyst - Compensation, you will support the design, administration, and continuous improvement of compensation programs through market analysis, job evaluation, pay data analysis, and consultation. You will partner with Human Resources to provide data-driven recommendations that support competitive, equitable, and compliant pay decisions across base pay and incentive programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts job evaluations and market-pricing analyses for existing and proposed roles, and develops recommendations based on internal equity, external competitiveness, job architecture, and FLSA considerations.
  • Participates in compensation benchmarking activities, analyzes survey data and internal pay data, and prepares insights and recommendations to support compensation decisions.
  • Advises Human Resources partners and business leaders on compensation-related matters, including promotions, transfers, organizational changes, and geographic differentials.
  • Supports the administration and execution of compensation programs, including salary structures, annual compensation planning cycles, short-term incentives, and long-term incentive programs, as applicable.
  • Performs compensation analyses, audits, and data validation activities to help ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance, and effective program governance.
  • Contributes to enterprise and departmental projects such as job description development, geographic differential reviews, pay structure updates, pay equity analyses, and broader compensation initiatives.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve compensation processes, reporting, tools, and documentation to enhance efficiency, consistency, and user experience.
  • Administer the Company’s domestic and international relocation program, ensuring all processes are handled efficiently and in accordance with established policies.
  • Work on projects as assigned and other compensation related duties.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
  • 2 years of related compensation experience
  • Experience in job evaluation, market pricing, and compensation program administration
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data; identify trends, themes, and issues; and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Knowledge of job analysis, job evaluation, market-pricing methodology, and compensation survey practices
  • Experience using HRIS, compensation, and reporting tools to manage data and support compensation processes
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and other compensation-related regulatory requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong capability in working with large, complex data sets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience supporting short-term and long-term incentive programs preferred
  • Exposure to salary structures, job architecture, reward and recognition programs, and pay governance practices preferred
  • Experience with employee relocation programs and administration preferred

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.


For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
