About the role
Following an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and analytical Analyst to join our team in Liverpool NSW, as a Credit Analyst. You will be enthusiastic about customer service and help position us as the #1 bank for client satisfaction.

This role represents the opportunity for an analyst with experience in credit writing in small business, private banking, or similar to take the next career step and start working with large, complex corporate banking clients and deals in a strong and thriving business. There will be opportunities to attend external stakeholder meetings with bankers to further develop your relationship management expertise.

What exactly will you be doing?

  • Conducted financial modelling and analysis, prepare credit submissions, and coordinate deal execution.
  • Structure and articulate the credit merits of a transaction, including identifying and mitigating key risks.
  • Manage the portfolio’s data quality, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Undertake performance monitoring and annual reviews for existing clients.
  • Report on client financial and operational performance to Risk Management.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in business or commercial banking is (highly preferred); however, this role could suit accountants with credit exposure.
  • Sound experience writing and analysing credit transactions, annual reviews, and reporting.
  • A demonstrable understanding of balance sheets, profit & loss, loan, and security structuring.
  • Confident communication skills at all levels, who is comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, accounting, or a related discipline
