Join HarbourVest Advisers L.P. as an Analyst in Client Service in Singapore. As part of our Asia IR Ops function you will play a pivotal role in servicing our clients and supporting fundraising efforts.
The ideal candidate is:
Experienced in investment management, financial services, or private equity experience preferred.
Possesses additional skills: Client facing, relationship management, communication, analytical/problem solving, prioritization.
What you will do:
This role will work closely with Account Managers and across HarbourVest functional teams to complete daily inquiries from different clients across all types of funds and accounts. HarbourVest’ s clients are primarily institutions including public and private pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and health service organizations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop a strong understanding of all aspects of the client journey within private markets asset management including onboarding, capital calls, distributions, reporting, and portfolio reviews. The position also includes working closely with specialist teams across the firm including investment, solutions, accounting, treasury, tax, legal, compliance, and marketing. Along with Account Managers, the Client Service Analyst will be the face of HarbourVest to clients and will be required to demonstrate strong relationship building and client service skills.
Service Support - 90%
The Analyst will build and maintain strong external and internal relationships.
Listening, understanding, and appropriately responding to clients’ needs
Collaborating with internal teams to deliver on client requirements and ensure excellent client experience.
Partnering with Account Managers to support client engagement and establish clear communication channels.
Working as an adaptable phenomenal teammate who proactively assists with workload rebalancing and high-priority items and collaborates with colleagues in other regions.
Drawing from an expansive knowledge and understanding of HarbourVest systems and procedures, the Analyst will:
Triage and respond to requests and inquiries in an accurate and timely manner following workflow and standard processes.
Coordinate delivery of recurring requests to drive proactive and timely service.
Think and act quickly, analytically, and creatively to determine solutions for client needs.
Demonstrate sound business judgment and consideration for potential impact of decisions on the business.
Handle and complete requests based on type and complexity, including:
Independently completing request based on defined client service procedures.
Engaging functional teams when expertise is required and seeing through to completion.
Coordinating response to client requiring input from various functional teams
Client Relationship Management - 10%
Assist Account Manager(s) with existing client engagements by providing insight to daily activities and raising potential areas of concern to assist with ongoing client meetings and conversations.
Assist Account Manager(s) with prospective clients by sharing information about the client service model and the service team that will be involved post-onboarding. This may include participating in calls or meetings with prospective clients as part of the Account Team
What you bring:

Education Preferred:
Bachelor of Arts (B.A) or equivalent experience
Experience:
1-3 Years financial services experience in client service or operations capacity preferred (Analyst level)
