• The role in the newly formed Cargo Performance Planning & Analysis team is being transformed to effectively support the departmental strategic direction of developing, measuring, and reporting key performance metrics.
• This member will take an analytical approach to improving operational and revenue performance, sales lead generation, and improving the customer experience by generating data-based insights.
• The role is a part of the Cargo Performance Planning & Analysis team within our Cargo group.

What you'll do

• Engage with internal business partners to help define data and forward-thinking reporting needs for Sales and Revenue Management leaders.
• Use data visualization tools to tell a story through data insights and examples.
• Extract, manipulate and join data from multiple internal sources into a population set for comparative or in-depth analysis.
• Manage and produce ad-hoc reports as well as recurring reporting that provide data-based insights for solutions to business questions
• Influence the direction of Cargo commercial initiaves through data analysis and insights
• Will support all areas of the Cargo commercial business with the goal of increasing revenue, and improving operational and service performance

All you'll need for success

• Minimum Qualifications-Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information System, Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Computer Science, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field

  • 3 years of related experience

  • 1 year of experience with SQL/Python

  Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Information System, Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Computer Science, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: data science, and/or statistics; practical experience in data extraction, cleansing, analysis, and visualization

  Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel; familiarity with Python and data visualization tools like Power Bi/Tableau
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable working across teams and communicating with both technical and non-technical partners
  • Must possess excellent communication skills to be able to interact with all levels of AA Cargo leadership, including the President of AA Cargo
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity and initiative to improve workflows, automate tasks, and learn new tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
