1. Analytics & Dashboarding - 50%
Supports the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and scorecards under guidance of senior analysts.
Assists in creating business-friendly visualizations for operational and financial reporting using established templates and KPI definitions.
Updates existing dashboards for insurance KPIs (e.g., written/earned premium, loss ratio, retention) and performs routine enhancements (filters, slicers, drill-through).
Publishes reports and supports refresh and access requests by following documented procedures; escalates issues as needed.
2. Data Analysis & Insight Generation - 25%
Performs routine analysis to identify trends and variances; prepares summary observations for review by senior team members.
Supports business teams by answering defined questions through standard reports and dashboard views.
Assists with root-cause investigations by compiling data extracts and creating supporting visuals/tables.
3. Data Modeling & Transformation - 15%
Assists with data modeling using established star schema patterns and curated datasets.
Develops and updates basic DAX measures and calculated columns with guidance.
Uses Power Query to clean and shape data from approved sources (SQL/warehouse tables, Excel/CSV) following established transformation steps.
4. Quality, Governance & Performance - 10%
Validates reports against source data using defined reconciliation steps and documents results.
Follows governance standards for naming conventions, dataset usage, and access controls.
Identifies data quality or performance issues and escalates to senior analysts/data engineering.
