About the Team
This team is responsible to perform quantitative analysis or dashboard building needed to help guide key business decisions. This includes applying knowledge of Lowe's data concepts to the creation of relevant analytic designs and making sound, data‐driven business recommendations.
Analyst is responsible for understanding Pro & Services business processes and delivering actionable insights through data. The role involves partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting and analytics solutions. The analyst leverages GCP, SQL, Power BI, and Looker to build dashboards, develop data models, perform advanced analysis, and support data-driven decision-making. Additionally, the role requires managing ad hoc reporting requests while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity.
Core Responsibilities:
Solve business problems and support strategic decision-making through data analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting and analytics solutions using GCP, Power BI, SQL, and Looker.
Build and optimize data models, datasets, and reporting frameworks that enable reliable and self-service analytics.
Own end-to-end delivery of dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions, from requirements gathering through deployment and support.
Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets using advanced SQL and cloud-based data platforms to generate actionable insights.
Investigate and resolve complex business, operational, incentive, and compensation-related queries through detailed data analysis and root-cause identification.
Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective analytical solutions.
Drive process improvements by identifying automation opportunities and leveraging available tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Establish and promote best practices for documentation, governance, data quality, and knowledge sharing.
Deliver projects with a strong focus on speed, accuracy, scalability, and measurable business impact.
Act as a trusted individual contributor, fostering a data-driven culture and enabling innovation across the organization.
Qualifications & Skills:
2–3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or a related field.
Experience supporting business functions within retail, technology, or other customer-focused industries.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, performance optimization, and data transformation.
Strong hands-on experience with GCP and cloud-based data environments.
Proven experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and analytical reporting solutions.
Strong experience with data modeling, data validation, and working with large, complex datasets.
Hands-on experience with Looker for reporting, visualization, and business analytics.
Working knowledge of SQL-based tools such as DBeaver, SQL Assistant, or similar environments.
Exposure to Power Automate and Newton is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of deliverables.
Experience collaborating with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning, AI, or another quantitative discipline.
Primary Skills (must have)
Advanced SQL and data transformation expertise.
Strong hands-on experience with GCP and cloud-based analytics environments.
Experience building scalable dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using Power BI.
Strong understanding of data modeling, reporting frameworks, and large-scale dataset management.
Hands-on experience with Looker and business intelligence reporting tools.
Secondary Skills (desired)
Exposure to Newton and Power Automate.
Basic understanding of the retail/home improvement industry.
