This position is part of the APAC Relationship Management team. The Analyst will support investor relations, client servicing, and investor operations activities across institutional clients and prospects in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Working closely with senior Relationship Managers, the individual will play a key role in client engagement, CRM management, investor reporting, due diligence processes, market research, and internal coordination to support fundraising efforts and deliver a high-quality client experience.

Primary Functions & Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the APAC Relationship Management team

  • Track all meetings with investors and prospects, including maintaining Salesforce records, distributing meeting and conference notes, and managing related organizational tasks

  • Participate in client meetings and track investor feedback across Ares strategies and funds

  • Interact regularly with investment professionals and product managers to stay informed of portfolio developments, fund performance, and fundraising initiatives

  • Support senior Relationship Managers in their client coverage by responding to investor inquiries and coordinating data requests

  • Participate in internal meetings, including the Global Relationship Management Call and APAC Relationship Management team meetings

  • Maintain and update client and prospect databases, ensuring accurate coverage and pipeline tracking across Ares strategies

  • Support investor due diligence processes, including coordinating requests and preparing marketing and reporting materials

  • Conduct market and competitive research, monitoring industry trends and identifying potential client opportunities

  • Assist with client reporting, investor communications, and other client servicing activities

  • Initially focus on investor operations and client servicing responsibilities, with the opportunity to develop into a junior Relationship Manager role

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in asset management, private markets, investor relations, institutional client servicing, investment banking, or a related financial services environment

  • Knowledge of alternative investment products and services, corporate finance, or accounting

  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce or CRM experience preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proactive problem solver with a solutions-oriented mindset

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and demonstrates a strong work ethic

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders

  • Interest in developing a long-term career in investor relations and institutional relationship management
