The Accountant supports the finance and accounting team by performing a wide range of accounting functions. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial transactions, performing reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and supporting compliance and audit
processes. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reconcile daily cash activity, including bank transactions and cash postings, to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of variances.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for cash, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records.
• Support vendor setup and maintenance processes in compliance with company policies.
• Assist with preparation and reconciliation of tax filings and other regulatory reports.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including account analysis and reporting.
• Prepare supporting documentation for audits and assist with auditor requests.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Perform special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn new systems, processes, and responsibilities.
