Job Description

Design analog and mixed-signal circuits for CMOS image sensors, including:
  • Pixel arrays and architectures.
  • Column amplifiers.
  • Analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).
  • Bias generators and reference circuits.
 Circuit simulation and verification, including:
  • Run detailed SPICE simulations.
  • Perform corner analysis and Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Temperature and process variation analysis.
  • Noise analysis and optimization.
 Layout design and verification, including:
  • Create and optimize analog circuit layouts.
  • Ensure compliance with design rules.
  • Perform parasitic extraction and post-layout simulations.
 Technical documentation and collaboration, including:
  • Collaborate with digital design, system architecture, and test teams.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Support chip verification and validation.
 Performance optimization, including:
  • Improve sensor parameters like H-banding, noise, linearity, etc.
  • Address cross-talk and other interference issues.
 Requirement: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field with a focus on mixed-signal circuit design. Must have skills in: 
  • Digital MOS VLSI circuit design and layout; circuit simulation and synthesis.
  • MOSFET operation and models; Elementary amplifier configurations; biasing and references; frequency response; noise; feedback; operational amplifiers; frequency compensation; non-linearity and mismatch; passive and active filters.
  • System and transistor-level analysis and design of integrated circuits.
  • Schematic design, simulation, layout, post-layout verification of analog, mixed signal integrated circuits.
 Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $156,853 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
