Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Execute accounting activities required to support the plant operations including cost accounting, safeguarding of inventories and other assets, budgeting and forecasting, new parts introductions, product transfers & maintenance of US GAAP and statutory books.

  • Maintain the integrity of the standard cost system by analyzing the product scrap rates, labor rates and machine rates and making the appropriate recommendations to update the bill of materials and/or routers.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial package for Executive and Corporate Management. Compile and maintain supporting schedules related to reporting.
  • Prepare and regularly maintain the costing sheets and new instruction products.
  • Execute the month-end close process which includes preparing journal entries, preparing reconciliations, and preparing monthly reports.
  • Analyze standard cost variances related to material purchase price, material usage; prepare monthly summary reports; assist with development of standard cost variance forecasts and budgets.
  • Analyze and reconcile ERP perpetual inventory reports to ERP general ledger balances; assist with inventory reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, including valuation reserves.
  • Assist in development of annual updates to ERP standard costs and inventory revaluation.
  • Support the process of translating the financial statements for inventory transactions in local currency to follow local statutory.
  • Provide accurate and timely inventory and costing reports to the operations teams in order to support the company’s continuous improvement approach.
  • Work with operations teams to analyze inventory for potential excess and obsolete.
  • Maintain compliance for internal controls and SOX compliance of all internal and external audit activities for the areas under responsibility.

Education BA or BS degree with major in accounting (or related business major) from an accredited college or university

Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as cost accountant or similar

English: advanced, required.

Preferred Qualifications: Thorough understanding of BPCS and SAP or equivalent fully integrated manufacturing software system. Advanced proficiency with computer spreadsheet and database software in Windows environment - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Preferred Competencies Excellent oral and written communications skills, analytic skills, and math skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
