Responsibilities

Job purpose

To provide efficient, high‑quality financial crime prevention support to the business and to the MLRO function

General Duties

• Review and development of relevant policies and procedures
• Conducting Quality Assessment of outsourced AML operational tasks
• Evaluating and processing alerts and escalations from other teams
• Investigating suspicious cases and reporting of suspicious activity to FIU
• Supporting SFG MLRO in communication with competent German authorities (e.g. BaFin, LKA)
• Preparing documentation for internal and external audit
• Participating in ad-hoc projects, as may be required from time to time
• Supporting SFG MLRO in development and execution of SFG Control Plan
• Conducting gap analysis on relevant new laws and regulations
• Support SFG MLRO in any other tasks as may be required from time to time

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics or related field
• CAMS Certification ( desired)

Skills

• Knowledge of international/ German compliance laws, regulations, and industry practices
• Attention to detail and analytical mind
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Understanding business context of a payment provider ( preferred)
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work flexibly under pressure, often with short notice deadlines
• Very good command of English and excellcnt command in spoken and written German (any other language is an advantage)
• Ability to work independently and in a team
