THE WORK

  • Support the AML/CTF Regulated Business Lead in overseeing local AML Compliance Officers and ensuring effective execution of AML programs across regulated entities.
  • Provide expert guidance on AML/CTF matters, KYC requirements, client lifecycle activities, and regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Drive consistency across local AML programs through common standards, frameworks, templates, and best practices while fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement
  • Support risk assessments, regulatory change management, local audits, board reporting, and implementation of remediation actions arising from reviews and audits.
  • Contribute to AML awareness initiatives, training programs, and compliance culture development while demonstrating a commitment to ongoing improvement and professional growth

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Law degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a lawyer within a financial institution, law firm, in-house legal function, or financial crime compliance role.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Working knowledge of global AML/CTF legal and regulatory frameworks, systems, and industry best practices.
  • Experience implementing compliance frameworks within legal, risk, or compliance organizations.
  • Ability to assess risk, provide independent recommendations, and develop action plans.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and writing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and support senior stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment, prioritization skills, and a proactive, analytical mindset.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience with anti-bribery and corruption compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting decentralized global operating models.
  • Experience interacting with regulators, external auditors, or regulatory inspections.
  • Knowledge of AML monitoring, controls testing, and remediation programs.
  • Experience developing compliance training and awareness initiatives.
